The golden rule: cancel wherever you're billed. That could be the website, Apple, Google Play or a partner like your mobile provider.
Web (chatgpt.com)
- Sign in, open the account menu, then go to Settings.
- Open Billing.
- Under Cancel plan, choose Cancel.
iPhone (Apple billing)
- Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions, then ChatGPT, then Cancel Subscription, and confirm.
Android (Google Play billing)
- Play Store, then Subscriptions, then ChatGPT, then Cancel subscription, and confirm. The Play website works too.
Good to know
- Cancel on the platform that bills you.
- Uninstalling the app does not cancel. Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple subscription.
- Cancel at least 24 hours before your billing date.
What happens after you cancel
- Paid features continue until the period ends. There's no automatic refund.
